Building Chronicles, Act 2

A tough week reminded me that building from scratch isn’t always smooth. Setbacks happen, but staying in the race — even slowly — is still progress.

Building Chronicles, Act 2

Last week was all about the highs. This week reminded me that building something from scratch isn’t always a straight line upward.

I switched to a new work location and immediately ran into a storm of problems — unstable electricity, unreliable internet, missed meetings, and a growing backlog. For a moment, it felt like everything was slipping through my fingers. Deadlines, launch dates, momentum… all of it.

The one who falls and gets up is stronger than the one who never tried. Do not fear failure but rather fear not trying. ~ Roy T. Bennett

Just when I thought the week couldn’t get any tougher, a few collaborators dropped out. That one hit hard. It forced me back to the drawing board and made the entire project feel heavier than before.

But buried inside the chaos was an unexpected lesson: sometimes the universe forces you to slow down so you can breathe. And in that pause, I remembered something important — the journey won’t always be sunshine and daisies. There will be highs and lows, wins and setbacks. What matters is the ability to rise again, dust yourself off, and keep moving.

You’re only in a race with yourself. Staying on the track is already a victory.

If you’re building something too and want to collaborate, I’m open to connecting. Let’s build something great together.
